Football Signing Day: Boarding School Flavor

Football Signing Day: Boarding School FlavorI can’t find a good, single list of boarding school players who signed today, but I found something close.

ESPNBoston has a list of Massachusetts players scheduled to sign today.

It lists high school and college with whom they’re signing. It’s missing some of the Western New England schools and looks like it might short some PG’s.

Nevertheless, it’s good start and a fun read.

You’ll see, Bridgton Academy, Lawrence Academy, Philips Andover, and Avon Old Farms among others.

Enjoy and add any players missing from the list in the comments.

Update (2/4/2011): Dan Thompson at Fork Union Academy sent us two stories on FUMA students who signed Letters of Intent the past Wednesday.

“…more than two dozen athletes (26) from Fork Union Military Academy’s renowned postgraduate and prep football programs signed national letters of intent to play college football in the fall, or were already enrolled in college when National Signing Day rolled around this year.” (FUMA)

“Sports Illustrated has published a National Signing Day ranking of college recruits from the nation’s top prep schools (compiled by JC Shurburtt of 247Sports.com) and Fork Union Military Academy players hold nine of the top twenty spots…”
(FUMA)
