A Boarding School that Offers Students a Fresh Start
George Swope, Fenster School, Head, talks with Peter about Fenster’s work and the kinds of students the school serves. A coed boarding and day school for 9-12 and PG students, Fenster focuses on college bound students who find success in a small, personalized, school environment.
Fenster builds a foundation for each student on their social and emotional growth, believing that a sound social-emotional foundation provides the basis for effective learning. Taking advantage of its mountain setting, students gain many growth lessons through outdoor activities.
Students come to Fenster in search of success, with many arriving from large public school settings. Faculty are familiar with each student’s learning profile and work to present material in a variety of ways during each academic period. Success breeds success.
Fenster graduates head off to college knowing their own strengths and weakness. Most importantly, when they arrive on their chosen college campus, Fenster graduates are able to make decisions and judgments that position themselves for success.
