Pomfret School Students Appreciate An Unsung Role Model
We’re always expounding on the importance of community in boarding schools- the interconnectedness, not just between students but among all members of the community. Everyone contributes and plays a role.
Even though, as an adult, you’re not sure that the students appreciate or understand the true value of a particular person- a maintenance staffer, the morning baker, the guy who fixes everything when someone calls, you know the school has done its job when a student ‘gets it-” when a student thanks someone without a prompt; when they point out to a complainer that their gripe is groundless.
Pomfret School video students turned their lens on Mr. Rodman producing a video appreciation of his work, contributions, and daily connections that he makes with them. The man who runs The Tuck Shop (snack bar) makes a difference.
