History
"Welcome to one of the most beautiful and historic college-preparatory boarding schools in the South. Now in our 105th year of service, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is a community of learners from around the globe. Our motto is Work Study Worship. In 2008 we are enjoying a sixth-consecutive year of record enrollment, with 357 students; 206 in the boarding division from 18 countries and 16 states.
100% of our graduates are accepted to colleges and universities. The class of 2007 had the highest average SAT score (1206) in the history of our School. I'm pleased to report the SAT average for the class of 2008 is on par with the strongest independent schools across the Southeast. We offer 15 AP classes." (John D. Marshall, Head of School, 09/2008)
