History

Founded in 1893, Walnut Hill School is the only conservatory high school program in the U.S. The School offers pre-professional training in the areas of ballet, music (orchestral instuments, opera, composition), theater, visual art and writing & publishing combined with a rigorous academic curriculum. The music program is the only one of its kind in the United States, offering joint instruction with New England Conservatory.
