History

Founded in 1932, Midland is a coed college prep boarding school for grades 9-12, which offers a rigorous academic program, rooted in community values. With an experienced faculty, a maximum enrollment of 95 students, and an average class size of 12, Midland ensures that all students have access to dynamic, passionate and trusted adults. Situated on 3 thousand acres, framed by Grass Mountain, Midland is preserved forever through a conservation easement and allows students to connect to the land every day. Self-reliance, stewardship and a sense of place is in Midland’s DNA. We believe the essential ingredients of learning are a student, a teacher and an idea. Midland sends its graduates to top colleges and universities.
